For a show that claims to celebrate a woman's "inner" beauty, it is startling at what a negative influence it has on women.
The latest episode had Paulina say that Celia first of all was not a "traditionally" beauty, and also tell her to her face that she was "way old for modelling", because she is 25 years old! First of all what is traditional beauty? Secondly why can't a woman be desirable at 25? You're telling me that in the modelling industry there are no models at the age of 25. Then why does the show screen up to that age. Why not age cut off at 21 then!!!
Every season they claim to choose women of various backgrounds, ages, shapes and sizes, but in the end they reinforce the old typical stereotypes and petty nonesense!
Dang dat gurl took African Beauty to a new level....the wrong level dat is...and those damn RED shoes....Girl they were gettin old.....real models have variety and style.....she dressed in a way to get attention w/o knowing just how beautiful she really was....Aminat....you my gurl....hope u win!

AnTm cycle 13 for me....awaiting my call
I have watched every season of ANTM and here we go again with cycle 12! each season has its own 'feel' to it. I find it fun to predict frontrunners and the ladies you think will fail to impress. I watched the interviews and looked at the pre show photos of the girls, so i am basing my opinions on that.
Celia is my personal favorite. I find that surprising for me because she's the oldest (25). I find her to be very smart and someone i can relate to in real life. I wish her luck and hope her age doesnt knock her out because she has a lot of potential.
Cortnie is plus size, but i think she is more similar to Sarah in cycle 9.. I think she's absolutley gorgeous but may be the most girl next door this season. I love her personality and i think she is a strong contender for being the next plus size girl to go far.
I like Sandra a lot. She's more personable than Nnenna and her look is pretty unique. She has big alienestique eyes and a very nice smile.
Nijah and Teyona are pretty similar to me, yet one is from Cali (Nijah) and the other is southern (Teyona).. however i like them pretty equally.. i find them to be both fierce in their own way and their personalities are likeable.
Allison is this season's weird girl who may have an amazing high fashion look but may just be too weird to take it all. But I do love her look, it is unique and those almond shape eyes arent seen very often on the show.
Tahlia is the sob-story but fighting to be here and i admire her. She's a burned victim and her scars are very noticeable, but she is very confident (in a good way) and i do think she has a gorgeous quality to her. She kind of looks plus size but she isnt. I wish her luck though it makes you wonder how shell fare in this competition.
Aminat is the tallest girl in the competition since i want to say Sara from cycle 5... Her fro makes her look even taller. I love her look but I think her mouth will get her in trouble if she doesnt learn how to control it.
Fo has a very unique look, but I found her slightly boring. However she says she's going to avoid the drama which actually is a good strategy. I think if her photos are amazing she may be one to look out for.
London is kind of annoying to me. She was saying how she doesnt think she looks like other alienestique european models and her look is very american. I find that to be wrong.. I think her look is way unique and actually more alien-american looking. She has a strong personality. She may be a very good spokesperson however... she will be the girl that may go far but annoys the hell out of you.
Isabella is really happy... all the time.... its also annoying. her interview was hard because she was wearing this weird eye make up and it made her look like she was happy on crack. I dont think that judges her as a model, but honestly im finding it hard to say something thats going for her.... she's comercial .... shell have that going for her.
Jessica is the diva. She is the one to claim she has no competiton.. she is the hot girl and she may go far for that, but if her personality continues to be a diva, then she can suffer the same fate as other over-confident girls and be cut earlier then she thinks.
Natalie is an enigma to me. Im from Cali and i usually support the girls from cali, but this one is confusing. I find her interesting, but her personality is lagging. Shes very confident in herself, but she doesnt seem like a diva like Jessica. Shes actually boring. I am unsure where her place is in this competition.
I am sooooo bummed about the fact that u have to be at least 5'7'' to audition :( When u look at the requirements though it says ," However, the Producers are looking for a variety of models, including plus size models ", so does "variety of models" mean any height or just reffering to any weight?
Tell me what u think about the requirements.
