i was actually rooting for allison since day one; however, i feel that she might be better off having earned 2nd place, and here's why: maybe the judges did it because they really did favor her and they wanted her to have an opportunity to chose any modeling contract she wanted . . .if she had won antm she would have been stuck with a covergirl contract (maybe that's fantastic, but i would prefer to have a choice.) she got so far that soooo many modeling agencies are going to contact her. also, allison mentioned herself that she was incredibly proud of what she did and how far she came in many aspects, not just modeling. being a quiet/artsy person myself, i totally know what she's talking about, and am glad she feels accomplished that way. i DO know what many of the other bloggers are saying though. if i were allison i would feel ripped off in the moment . . .and as a viewer am/would be completely pissed. i'm not saying i'm right about the 2nd place thing, it's just something to consider, you know? yay, allison!!! you go girl!!!
Allison by far should have one. She is the most interesting looking girl they have ever had. Teyona was very ill spoken throughtout the show and if Tyra gave Danielle such a hard time about the way she talked she should have done the same for Teyona. Danielle should and was the winner of that season and Allison should have won this one.
I am a ANTM fanatic, but somehow they got it wrong this time. I watched the show and believe Allison was cheated of her rightful title. Watching the judges they clearly believe Allison did better in the commercial, took the best photo, did better on the catwalk, and was most improved so how is it she lost? It is really shameful to think that someone who came so far and is truly the winner in my mind could be cheated so badely.
Inspired by the ANTM Cycle 11 Photoshoot- Fierce Eyes
For a show that claims to celebrate a woman's "inner" beauty, it is startling at what a negative influence it has on women.
The latest episode had Paulina say that Celia first of all was not a "traditionally" beauty, and also tell her to her face that she was "way old for modelling", because she is 25 years old! First of all what is traditional beauty? Secondly why can't a woman be desirable at 25? You're telling me that in the modelling industry there are no models at the age of 25. Then why does the show screen up to that age. Why not age cut off at 21 then!!!
Every season they claim to choose women of various backgrounds, ages, shapes and sizes, but in the end they reinforce the old typical stereotypes and petty nonesense!
I love the idea of the next cycle being for girls 5'7" and under.
I think it's a great idea to give everyone a chance. I think
they should do a cycle of only plus size girls. I'm 5' 10" and
weight about 180...I've been told my whole life I should model,
but I know that with the way the industry is that it would be
incredibly difficult to brake in. I've auditioned for ANTM once
before, but there were so many rail thin girls it's hard to be noticed
as a plus size. And out of 13 cycles to only have one plus size
model win the competition is kind of frustrating. If the girls that
are 5'7" and under are being given the chance fairly...without
the normal 5'10" 120 pound girls there to take away...then
I think they should give the same to us girls that are tall, but
a normal healthy weight.
